Complete apartment reconstruction in Prague

As part of this project, we carried out complete construction and electrical installation works during the reconstruction of a residential unit. The work was performed according to the project documentation and design proposal, with an emphasis on a new layout solution, high-quality technical execution, and the final interior appearance according to the investor’s requirements.

At the beginning of the project, extensive demolition and dismantling works were carried out. This included the demolition of existing partitions, dismantling of fixtures, original doors and frames, removal of old tiles, wall tiles, and floor coverings. The preparatory works also included scraping the original paint from the walls and dismantling the original electricity, water, and sewage distribution systems, as well as existing radiators.

After completing the dismantling, the new residential core was bricked up and the new layout was created according to the project documentation. The walls were subsequently reinforced with adhesive mesh and prepared for plastering. The construction modifications also included the installation of an acoustic plasterboard ceiling using acoustic insulation, which increases the comfort of living in the apartment.

As part of the flooring works, the floor substrate was leveled for the subsequent laying of new floor coverings. Subsequently, the installation of new floors, including adjacent finishing elements, was performed. The project also included the installation of new interior doors and the dismantling of original entrance doors, including the installation of new security doors.

The technical part of the project included the installation of new radiators, including the revision and pressure balancing of the system. Furthermore, new water and waste distribution systems were installed in the bathrooms and to the kitchen counter. After completing the distribution, a pressure test was performed to verify the correctness and tightness of the installation.

In the bathrooms, the walls and floors were prepared for the installation of tiles and flooring. The wall tiles were installed including stonemasonry corners according to the design requirements. Subsequently, the installation of fixtures and the completion of the bathrooms took place.

The final part of the construction works included the painting of walls and ceilings in shades selected by the investor. In the office, the walls were also painted using magnetic paint, which allows for the practical use of the wall for notes, planning, or work materials.

Electrical installation works included the preparation of grooves and trays for the installation of new cabling. New cable routes were performed to change the location of terminal elements according to the designer’s plan. The project also included the installation of data cabling to create data outlets in individual rooms.

Furthermore, the installation of sockets, switches, spotlights, and design lighting fixtures was carried out. The electrical installation also included the delivery, installation, and wiring of a new distribution board according to the processed electrical project. Upon completion of the works, a revision, necessary tests, and the preparation of documentation for the client were performed.

After the completion of all construction and electrical installation works, a final cleaning of the space was performed, and the residential unit was prepared for handover to the investor.

The result of the project is a completely reconstructed residential unit with a new layout, modern technical utilities, an acoustic plasterboard ceiling, new bathrooms, flooring, doors, electrical installation, and final surface finishes according to the design proposal.
